November 16 - James Nyoraku Schlefer, Shakuhachi
"Zen Music of Japan" Traditional music for shakuhachi, Japanese bamboo flute, originally played by Buddhist monks for spiritual practice. This multi-media presentation will include images of gardens and temples in Kyoto.

December 7 - Borromeo String Quartet
The award winning ensemble will perform Beethoven, String Quartet No. 13 in B flat major, Op. 130, and Steve Reich, "Different Trains."

2008

January 25 - 7pm - Tenri Chamber Players
Arts at Tenri will present a survey of the complete works for cello
and piano of Beethoven, including the five sonatas and three sets of
variations: the two concerts will be performed by Albert Lotto, piano
and Barbara Stein Mallow, cello.

February 22 - Masayo Ishigure and the Miyabi Koto Ensemble
"Music of Tadao Sawai" Celebrating the music and koto playing of the great performer and innovative composer. Music for solo koto, koto ensemble and mixed ensembles.

March 7 - Borromeo String Quartet
Ludwig Van Beethoven: String Quartet No. 3 in D major, Op. 18, No. 3
Dmitri Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 12 in D flat major, Op. 133
Ludwig Van Beethoven: "Grosse Fuge" Op. 133

April 11 - Tenri Chamber Players
Arts at Tenri will present the second part of a two-part survey of the complete works for cello and piano of Beethoven, including the five sonatas and three sets of variations: the two concerts will be performed by Albert Lotto, piano and Barbara Stein Mallow, cello.

May 9 - Tenri Chamber Players
Featuring Yoko Reikano Kimura, Yamada School Shamisen and Koto Classic and contemporary music for Japanese sankyoku ensemble, koto, shamisen, shakuhachi.
